There is a ton of talk right now about the year 2012. The apparently End Of The World As We Know It (hence the REM music). Supposedly, since the Mayan calendar doesn’t go through 2012, the world is going to end. I have heard everything from nuclear explosions, to intense solar flares, to everything in between. This post isn’t about my opinion on if the world is ending in 2012.
My dad, for as long as I can remember, has always said something to me that has resonated through my entire life: No one gets out of life alive.
This to me a stuck with me for my entire life. And with this recent talk about the world ending in 2012 has me pondering this more and more.
Here is my question: Let’s say that the world will be ending in 2012. What are you doing to get the most out of the rest of your life here? Now – put that in perspective if the world is NOT ending in 2012. I hate to be morbid about this, but your life could end tomorrow. It could end while reading this. You don’t know when your time here will be done. What are you doing to get the most out of life? Too many people just wander through their and only get a wake up call when something serious happens around them. You don’t always have to wait until something dramatic happens to live life to the fullest. You have everything to go for and nothing to lose. Why are you still living a day to day life?
