Stop Trying To Please Everyone

This site has got through quite the transformations in the past. At first – I tried to write nicely that would please everyone. And it wasn’t until I realized that I had to stop trying to please everyone that I actually started to get some traction, because I was true to myself. But it wasn’t always that way.

I tried to be politically correct, I tried to be nice. I tried to write what everyone wanted to hear. I tried to make a point, but ensured I made friends at the same time.

And that worked – to a certain extent.

Screen-Shot-2012-03-21-at-9.40.29-PMNo one ever got mad at what I had to say. No one ever posted nasty comments. No one ever created a fuss.

The worst I had it was people commenting on my horrible grammar (thanks homeschooling). But I can handle that.

But as time went on, and I started to go through changes in my own life, I realized the most I changed is when people told it like it was to me. That criticism allowed me to grow. I had to hear it hard, rather than sugar coating what truly had to be said.

Many people form themselves around who they are talking to. They try to make sure that no ever gets mad at what they have to say, no one creates a fuss and no one posts nasty comments.

Life is easier when you do that.

But you don’t grow.

My goal of this site is to help you grow. To help you be the best you can be, to stay motivated, to enable you to live the best life possible.

And I am ready to piss you off.

Because that is what you need. You need to have your cage rattle.

I won’t ever target specific people. That is just catty.

But if you read a post, and it makes you mad, it strikes a cord, you feel that it is about you – tighten that boot up and wear it proudly. Look inside yourself and make a change.

That is how you grow – you get pissed enough to make a change.

So get pissed. Make that change.
