How Bad Do You Want It?

I always amazes when people talk about things they want to do or accomplish. I hear it ALL THE TIME.

I want to lose weight. I want to start eating better. I want to start this business. I want to launch that idea. I want to travel the world. I want to make more money.

BLAH BLAH BLAH the list goes on and on. I am not saying it is a bad thing to want so much. I am not questions what you want, I am questioning how bad do you want it?

I am currently writing a posts series for goal setting, achieving and exceeding. While I write these, I keep going back to one main theme in my head: How bad do you want something? From my own personal experience, if I want something really bad, I literally do not rest until I get what I want. If I just kind of what something, I usually don’t get it. If you really want something, most people will do whatever it takes to get it. Watch the video below for a great explanation on how bad you should want to be successful:

“Don’t cry to quit, cry to keep going”

One of the best quotes in that video. People, in general, have a tenancy to quit or shut down with things get hard. Look at the traits of some of the most successful people you know. The most successful people I know don’t have CAN’T or QUIT in their vocabulary. When they go for something, they go for it all in without any doubt or thought of quitting. Doesn’t always mean the achieve it, but they try. If you want to be successful, you need to adopt the same type of thinking: Never quit, never surrender.

Ask yourself how bad do you want this. In order to make results stick, you need to really want it. You need to know in your mind that you HAVE to get whatever it is accomplished. Adopt that mindset, get to work, and never quit. You will get anything you want if you adopt these principles.

The new year is a great time, with “resolutions” to set a goal and totally demolish it by applying the principles mentioned above. If you haven’t already, check out the 6 part series I am writing on setting, achieving and exceeding your goals. It is a step by step plan that will help you get your goals down on paper, create a plan, work the plan, and succeed. It has (so far) been received rather well and hope the entire series gets the same results. So check out that series and remember: No matter what you are doing, never quit. There just is no reason for it.

To your health,
