The FIGHT For A Cure

We all know someone who has been effected by cancer in some way. Either someone who has battle cancer or lost someone to cancer.

Cancer is a brutal disease.

It doesn’t care about age. It doesn’t care about race. It doesn’t care about gender. It doesn’t care who you are or how loving you are. There is no rhyme or reason on why someone gets cancer. There is no cure for the disease. And the treatments are not guaranteed to work. And if they DO work the first time, there is nothing stopping the cancer from coming back, if not spreading else where.

Cancer is a brutal disease.

I created The Fearless Hustle for many reasons.I want to be the inspiration for your perspiration. I want to motivate, inspire, and create the change in the world I want to see.

I started this site as a blog. One day I thought of a shirt I wanted and made it through one of those point and clicks design websites and it didn’t come out as planned. I wanted something better, so I did it myself. Now, I sell my own designs for motivational clothing, mugs, bags and other items coming soon. All the designs are my own, and they are meant to be put on and to FEEL the clothes you are wear. I want you to wear my tee shirt, look in the mirror, and FEEL the power of change and motivation every single time you see yourself in the shirt. I want you to grab that coffee cup you use on a daily basis, read the message there and get motivated in life. I don’t to create just any shirt that you will throw away, I want to create something that MEANS something to you.

But I also want to make a change.

I had this vision early on to do dedication designs and drops. Create a design for a cause and donate every single dime back into the cause, whatever that cause may be. And like me not creating just any shirts, I don’t want to follow just any cause. It has to mean something to me or the person I am doing the design for.

keep-calm-and-fight-cancer-25I finally reached the point of my first dedication drop and do what I can to help fight cancer.

In early 2014, I lost someone very close to me to Leukemia. He fought cancer more than a few times in his life, and his body simply could not fight any longer (Roger – you are missed greatly).

I lost other people to other forms of cancer and have been touched by people battling cancer each and every day.

They all are fighters. From young children, to grandparents, cancer doesn’t discriminate. It tries kills whoever it wants. I believe that we are so close to finding a cure for this horrid disease so soon we won’t have to lose people too soon from our lives or young children, who should be laughing and playing, won’t be hurting and crying from this disease.

In the spirit of The Fearless Hustle, I am very please to have my first Dedication Design for cancer research: FIGHT. Tee shirts dedicated to those fighting specific types of cancer, to help raise money and awareness to find a cure for the disease.

FIGHT is for those involved with cancer, both directly and indirectly.

Directly, it is for those battling now, for those who survived, for those who will battle, and for those taken too soon.

But also for those fighting indirectly. The spouses, brothers and sisters, moms and dads, caregivers, researchers and every one else that fight along with those fighting directly. Our fight may not be life or death, but our fight is to help those people pull through in whatever way we can. Our fight is in honor of those we have lost. Our fight is to help ensure that our future generations don’t have to battle this killer. Our fight is for a cure.

Each shirt has the same text, but the colors are different for awareness for all the different types of cancer.  September is Leukemia awareness and childhood cancer awareness, so my first 2 iterations are orange and yellow. I will be developing more in the future (pink for breast cancer, blue for prostate cancer).

The inside tag is a picture of a man riding off into the sunset over the mountains. This image is in honor of Roger (whom was taken from Leukemia earlier this year). He had a passion for motorcycles and we all envisioned him riding off into the sunset for his last ride. The mountains are lined with “In Memory of Roger D. Thompson”.  I put this on the inside tag, because he was a fighter. He fought hard. And he is now watching over the backs of other, so I wanted to quite literally honor him watching over the backs of others.

But I am not stopping at just creating a shirt that means something on these dedication drops. I am making sure I can do whatever I can to FIGHT on my part.

For each and every single one of these shirt purchase, I am donating every single dime I make to Stand Up For Cancer. They are doing Translational Research to find a cure and although they are a small organization compared to some, I believe that they will be the ones to find a breakthrough. The way they share data and connect people for a cure is the push that we need in order overcome and FIGHT this disease.  Learn More Here: http://su2c.standup2cancer.org/

My cost for these shirts is $15 for short sleeve (mens and womens cuts available) and $18 for long sleeve. I am running them for $30 for S/S and $35 for L/S which means each purchase, $15 will go to Stand Up For Cancer. Although that seems small, every little bit helps. Want to donate more? Do it here: https://www.standup2cancer.org/

Will my efforts help cure the disease in my life time? I don’t know. But I do know we need to try everything we can so we no longer lose people to this disease.

So please – check out my shop, buy a shirt, and help the FIGHT to beat cancer.
